Preparation and Properties of Ultrafine Denier Nylon-6 Filament

Abstract: The low linear density of ultrafine denier nylon-6 filament makes relevant fabric fine and soft with good drapability. And the fabric also has outstanding advantages concerning wear resistance, comfort and breathability, waterproof, down-proof property, and static resistance, which is widely used in fields of high-end down wear as woven fabrics. Taking fully matt nylon 6 chips as the raw materials, this study focuses on the effect of different die-spinning nozzle numbers of ultrafine denier filament and fine denier fiber on the spinning. The results show that the cross-air blasting process has a great influence on the formation, elongation, evenness and dyeing evenness of ultrafine denier nylon-6 filament. By introducing new equipment and developing new technology, namely, cross-air blow technology, the spinning conditions of ultrafine denier filament can be improved significantly.
