—To Understand the Production and Culture of Textiles and Apparel in the Pre-Qin Period

Abstract: This paper interprets the textile and apparel-related poetries in the Classic of Poetry, which is the first collection of poems in China. The production and consumption of fiber raw materials, fabrics and apparel as well as clothing etiquette in the pre-Qin period were analyzed from fibers, textiles, apparel and accessories. In doing so, the textile technology level and social landscape at that time can be well understood,which is an important way to study the history of ancient Chinese textile and clothing through literature research.
