Preparation of Polyacrylonitrile-based Composite Lithium-ion Battery Separator by Electrospinning

Abstract: Adjusting the electrospinning parameters can obtain different nanofiber membranes, and the electrospinning solution is one of the most important parameters. In this study, a composite nanofiber separator based on polyacrylonitrile/polyurethane was prepared by electrospinning. This paper discusses the influence of TiO2 addition on the composite membrane and the application of PAN/TPU/TiO2 composite membrane in the battery. Results indicated that the addition amount of TiO2 has a great influence on the diameter of electrospun PAN/TPU/TiO2 composite fiber, and the fiber diameter can be effectively reduced within an appropriate range of addition. When the mass fraction is 1.5%, the fiber diameter range is small (600 nm - 700 nm); and the discharge capacity and retentivity are good after the low range test.
