Abstract: The optimum PBS electro-spinning process is obtained through orthogonal experiments. With this process, the PBS fibers are spun onto the meltblown nonwoven substrate to produce PBS electrospun/meltblown composite filtration materials. Then, the properties of the composites are characterized. The results indicate that electrospun PBS fiber has smaller diameter and more uniform distribution than meltblown nonwovens; the average pore-size of the composite is reduced from 10 μm to 3 μm and pore-size distribution is uniform, the porosity remains unchanged, and wettability is slightly improved.
