Abstract: By analyzing the traditional ways of using these patterns, such as “static”, “two-dimensional”and “inevitable”, this study explored the designing method that integrates traditional patterns with creative draping, and summarized the ideas and methods of “pattern interaction”, which create a new form of using traditional patterns in fashion design featuring “dynamic”, “multi-dimensional” and “fortuitous”.
