Abstract: The traditional dress of Miao women in Guizhou Province, which are exquisitely made with complicated workmanship, is the concentrated expression of Miao costume culture and also a mirror of the history and culture of the Miao nationality. The paper interprets the cultural significance of Miao costume from six aspects: cultural representation, ethnic symbol, evaluation index, constitution of ceremony,emotional media and identity authentication.
