Abstract: The paper introduced the classification and development of medical nonwovens and analyzed the shielding mechanism and properties of SMS nonwovens for medical use. Particularly, it discussed the application of polypropylene in nonwovens and the methods for functional modification of polypropylene and also anticipated the application prospects of functional polypropylene in medical SMS composite nonwovens.
