Abstract: As important regenerable resources, cellulose has received extensive attention from chemical fiber producers, while acetate fiber, which generated from cellulose material, has a century-long history. The paper introduces the technical features of acetate fiber and related products, in particular, filter tow, textilepurpose filament and high-end technical textiles. It also analyzes the applications of acetate fiber in high-end technical textiles field and gives some suggestions on future development based on discussing the status-quo of regenerated cellulose fibers in China.
