Abstract: The respective characteristics of milk protein yarn and nylon filament were tested and analyzed. By using electronic jacquard technology and by altering yarn feeding sequence and stitches, different collections of high-grade weft-knitted fabric with varied patterns and effects were developed on circular knitting machine. The designing ideas, the selection of materials and equipment and the key points to be noticed in the production process were discussed, which could be used as reference for practical production.
