Study on the Adsorption Effect of Carbon Nanotubes on Aromatic Amine in Reduction Solution of Textiles

Updated: 3/17/2015 3:05:04 PM

Abstract: This paper studies the adsorption effect of carbon nanotubes on decomposable aromatic amine in the reduction solution of textiles. The samples were extracted with citrate according to GB/T 17592, then the aqueous sodium dithionite solution was added to the extracted liquid so that the banned azo colourants were reduced to aromatic amines. The carbon nanotubes were added to adsorb the aromatic amine. After enrichment, the aromatic amines were tested by GC-MS and the adsorption rate was calculated. The results show that the 24 kinds of aromatic amine in textiles can be adsorbed completely by the carbon nanotubes and the adsorption rate is up to almost 100%.
