Abstract: Based on investigating the principle of water extraction method, this paper makes a preliminary approach to non-destructive testing methods for formaldehyde content in textiles. The study result shows that these testing methods and national standards have the same linear relationship and non-destructive testing methods not only can protect the integrity of textiles, but also can obtain accurate and reliable testing results which are more representative for various textiles.
