Abstract: In this paper, the differences between domestic and overseas quality requirements and standards concerning mosquito netting and nets in terms of physical properties are discussed in detail. Based on which, some typical mosquito net samples are carefully selected and tested according to the domestic and WHO standards to compare their results, and the influences of type of yarn, eyelet shape and fabric structure on netting’s physical properties are discussed. Meanwhile, the bursting properties of fabrics are tested with both hydraulic method and steel ball method. It was found that the results of hydraulic method were more stablewith lower fluctuation.
