Abstract: With cotton yarn as warp and polylactic acid (PLA) corn filament as weft and by using combined weaves, a weft filament fabric is developed. The designing scheme and ideas were discussed in details and the style and properties of the fabric were tested. The result of the comprehensive analysis indicates that this fabric not only has the fine quality of both cotton fiber and PLA (corn) fiber, but also shows the style features of weft filament fabric, which meets the designing requirements.
