Abstract: The paper introduced the preparation, properties and research progress of fibrid, and investigated the effects of polymer solution properties, shearing rate and coagulation bath on the morphology and size of fibrid during the formation. Fibrid is a kind of thin film-like fiber material with the thickness of a few microns and the length of dozens of microns. It has excellent adhesive property and thermal bonding performance, and has good potential in the fields of composite and biomedical materials.
