Abstract: Based on the research of yarn hairiness distribution index, the article found that the segment hairiness index presents normal distribution, thus established and proved the correctness of the new index system of indicators including CV value of hairiness index, length variation curve of hairiness distribution and dense degree of hairiness. It also investigated the influence of segment length on dense degree of hairiness.
