Abstract: The global supply-demand market of carbon fiber has been expanding constantly. This article briefly introduced the changes in production capacity of some major carbon fiber manufacturers worldwide,and analyzed the latest technology and application developments of carbon fiber industry, such as the development of the low-cost carbon fibers（LCCF）, the application of carbon nanofiber and the selection of renewable precursor resources.
