Abstract: Water-proof and breathable protective clothing have increasingly attracted the interest in military, medical uses, outdoor activities and other areas. The choice of polymer membranes depends on the practical end use. This article introduced the applications of microporous, hydrophilic and microporous-hydrophilic composite membranes in protective clothing. Comparison among the three membranes was also made in the article.
