Abstract: This paper discusses new directions for the innovations in semi-worsted products and related technologies. Innovations in semi-worsted products include introducing various natural fibers, developing high-grade pure or blended yarn of rare animal hairs, developing high-grade semi-worsted yarn by using new spinning technologies and developing functional and differential semi-worsted yarn by using innovative chemical fibers. The innovations in semi-worsted spinning technologies include selecting proper raw materials, optimizing raw material pre-treatment and blending technologies; optimizing carding, drawing and roving processes and improving related machines and equipment; introducing new spinning technologies to spinning process; attach importance to setting process and ensuring distinctive line of semi-worsted products.
