Abstract: During weaving fabric containing polyurethane fiber, due to low tension, high elasticity and crimp of the yarn, it difficult to resume production after weft stoppage, consequently causing filling-wise defects.The article proposed a method for solving the problem of weft stoppage due to long weft at weft protector or thread-carrier by using WBS braking function. Practical experience shows that this method allows weft stoppage of elastic yarn to be reduced by 50%.
