Abstract: Quality of apparel seam directly affects garment appearance and inner quality, and seam strength is one of the most important factors that affect seam performance. In view of the main causes of seam slippage, the article simulates to sew the linen fabric with different stitch types, and draws a series of tensile test data and carries out the comparative analysis, which provides the basic theory for selecting the stitch type of seam for linen fabric and thus improving the seam performance and apparel quality.
