Abstract: By discussing the relation between the pressure of Qipao (a traditional Chinese women’s gown) and the subjective feeling of wearing it, the paper tried to get a comprehensive understanding of the pressure on human body brought by different cuttings of Qipao in different period of modern and contemporary history.
