Abstract: The article lists some novel functional yarns and their properties and applications. It introduces some experiences and understandings in developing these functional yarns. To develop these yarns, it is necessary to follow the demand on market; blend various fibers while giving full play to the advantages of each fiber; pre-treat the raw materials properly and blend them in a scientific way; and strengthen on-site management during production.
