Abstract: In this paper, the sources of carbon emissions in fabric production were narrated briefly, and the carbon footprint calculation method in dyeing and finishing was introduced. Then actuality of carbon emissions in the process was discussed, which showed bleaching and washing processes consumed most water; desizing and scouring processes produced most COD value and pollution. Carbon emissions in dyeing and finishing were analyzed in detail by means of production flow analysis. The results showed indirect carbon emissions and a mass of direct carbon emissions would engender in dyeing and finishing. This paper aimed to provide reference for dyeing and printing enterprises to analyze carbon emissions in production and reduce carbon emissions.
