Abstract: Due to high costs of existing textile sizes in China, developing high-performance sizes with lower prices has become a trend. The paper introduced the progress in the research of grafted starch size, protein size, new sizes and modification of PVA at home and abroad, the development of size recovery and the problems often confronted with when using some common sizes.
