Abstract: This experimental study takes silk fibroin as protective agent and glucose as reducing agent to prepare the silk fibroin solution containing nano silver particles in size of about 10 nm with good dispersity and stability. The test results show that after being finished by silver nanoparticles, the cotton fabric samples can have an Ag-carrying amount of 373.1 mg/kg and their antibacterial rate against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is up to 98.36% and 98.50% respectively. The antibacterial rate could maintain at 92% even after 50 washing cycles. Meanwhile, the surface friction coefficient and roughness of the treated fabrics reduced, which means smoother surface of the fabric.
