Abstract: This paper expounded both advantages and disadvantages of four methods for using nanomaterials in fiber modification, including the blended spinning method, finishing method, the grafting modification and the in-situ formation method. Under the condition of remain the advantages of natural fiber, the author put forward two ways of functional finishing by using nanomaterilas, namely, introducing discontinuous nanomaterials on the surface of fiber and embedding nanomaterials inside the fiber, and the effectiveness of these methods was verified by testing samples.
