Abstract: A new kind of direct pressure regulating lightweight horizontal magnetic padder was put forward,which had the advantages of fast response, high pressure regulating precision and so on. Its structure and operational principle were introduced. Some key technologies such as how to realize the uniformity of the rolling pressure, the magnetic decoupling, the lightweight of passive roller, the stability of the system were also analyzed. Compared with the traditional padder, the new-type padder had higher accuracy on rolling pressure control. It met the requirement of advanced fabric finishing equipments, and had a good application prospect.
