Abstract: This paper describes a method of functional finishing of cotton fabrics via microwave assisted in-situ generation of ZnO nanoparticles in them. The modified hyperbranched polymer (PNP) and zinc nitrate were used as the reagents. The reaction conditions were optimized. The treated cotton fabrics were characterized and their UV protection properties and antibacterial activities were measured.
