Kinetics Study on Thermal Imidization Process of Aliphatic Co-polyamic Acid

Abstract: Kinetics study on thermal imidization of aliphatic(hexamethylendiamine)co-polyamic acid is analyzed by FT-Infrared method using a temperature controlling accessory in this paper. It is found that the thermal imidization process can be characterized as two obvious stages: the fast initial stage and the slow second stage. i.e., there exists "kinetics stop" in the imidization process. The kinetics results show that the imidization rate of co-polyamic acids increases with the increase of the aliphatic ratio to the co-polyamic acid.
