Abstract: Both flat card and roller card could be used when spinning kenaf/aramid (30/70) blended yarn.Compared with carding on flat card, carding with roller card could improve the properties of yarn, and the results were as follows: the rate of kenaf noil reduced by 65.7%, yarn strength increased by 27.2%, acid and alkali resistance increased by 11.0% and 7.4% respectively, and antistatic property increased by 2.2 times.
