A UV-absorber RSD–CAH was synthesized from a self–made multi-amidine compound (RSD)and cinnamaldehyde (CAH).The product structure and the UV absorbency were characterized by IR and UV spectra. Several factors which may affect the anti-UV properties of the silk fabrics, such as RSD–CAH solution concentration, reaction temperature, reaction time were investigated.
