Abstract: A SFS composite material is a three-layer laminate with a waterproof moisture-permeable film sandwiched between two spun-bonded layers. While the film offering waterproof and barrier functions, the two outside layers offer strength to the composite. The article introduces the manufacturing process of SFS composite material for medical protective wear, discusses how to select raw materials and makes a close study of the film-coating process. Disposable medical wear made of such composite material are tested and various properties of the protective wear are analyzed.
