Recently, the application filed of textiles has been extending and upgrading constantly. The paper introduces the role of technical textiles played in the development of China’ s national economy, the changing share in textile production and the import and export of technical textiles. By analyzing the policies, regulations and testing standards stipulated by related government departments, it discusses the huge potential of technical textiles on Chinese market. Meanwhile, based on the current situation of technical textiles production, the paper lists some problems that demand prompt solutions.
