Abstract: Due to the continuously increasing terrorist threat and public security accident, the market demand for personal protective clothing shows a strong growth. Based on this situation, this article introduced the application status-quo of some new materials, such as self-decontaminating polymer and fibers, micro and nano-fiber nonwovens, activated carbon fibers, etc., to bio-chemical protective textiles. In addition, the author discussed the domestic development of personal protective clothing industry too.
