SMS (spun-melt-spun) is one of the typical high performance spunlaid technologies,and fiber web bonding with calender is the main process for this technology. Based on the introduction of the performance, product application of SMS technology, as well as some key properties of calenders in the market, this article stated that it is necessary for nonwovens production line manufacturer to consider the performance of spunlaid system,products’ target market and economical efficiency when choosing a calender.
