With the demand of consumer for comfortable, functional and environment-friendly textiles improving, many new fibers come forth and into mass use, such as PTT, T-400, Coolmax^®, Amicor^®, Richcel^®, PLA, bamboo pulp fiber etc. Today multi-fiber blends are as important as natural fibers and manmade fibers, contextures and composition products made from new fiber blends are likely to be the development trend.

However, due to a big difference in physical and chemical properties between new fibers and traditional fibers, new fibers bring new challenge to traditional dyeing & printing processing. The appropriate methods including dyestuff and auxiliaries, process and machinery, should be adopted in order to assure the quality of finished textiles.
