Abstract: Absorbent cotton constitutes an important part of the medical dressing production and the demand for this product is increasing year by year. Scouring and bleaching are key steps in the production of absorbent cotton, which make the fiber white and soft with good absorbency. This article introduces advanced and proven scouring and bleaching process and the quality requirements on product; and points out the causes of some defects and relevant preventive measures.
