Abstract: High-temperature-pressure beam dyer adapts to the developing trend of dyeing and finishing industry towards small quantities and diversified products. The beam-dyed fabric has many advantages such as good dimensional stability, high wrinkle resistance, smooth and crispy hand. However, the development of such machine has been handicapped by the fact that inside-to-outside and crosswise color difference often happen during dyeing process. The article introduces the methods adopted by some companies at home and abroad for solving the color difference problem, analyzes the main reasons leading to crosswise color difference and suggests the method of improving the dyeing evenness via optimizing the structure of beam. Based on the concept, a model of variable cross-section beam and a model of variable diameter beam are set up.
