Editor´ s Note: Pigment printing and dyeing technology is a clean production technology that is compatible with the concept of sustainable development. It plays positive role in improving the core competence of the textile industry and increasing added value of textile products. The article introduces the preparation of water-based ultrafine-pigment and the application of such pigment in dyeing and ink-jet printing processes. It is foreseen that pigment will have great development potential in the printing and dyeing field and it represents the future developing trend of printing and dyeing technology.
