Reactive dyes are most widely used dyes and one of the best alternative for substituting prohibited dyes and other dyes for cellulosic fibers. Therefore, the application and research of reactive dyes have become increasingly important. The article systematically introduces some new dyeing technologies using reactive dyes, especially those clean dyeing technologies featuring highly-efficient, energy-saving with reduced discharge, such as low-alkali and neutral fixing, low-salt and salt-free, low-temperature and cold pad-batch, short wet-steam process, low liquor ratio, shortened process and one-bath dyeing, “right-first-time”and controlled dyeing, etc.
