Antibacterial finishing plays an important role in increasing the added value of textiles. The preparation and application of reactive antibacterial agents, such as silicone quaternary ammonium salt, halogenated hydroxy diphenyl ether, chitosan, halamine , etc, were introduced in details based on the current status and developing trend both at home and abroad. Meanwhile, the potential applications of them were also anticipated.
