This article describes the types of flame retardants and its application, and summarizes some finishing methods of flame retardants, including the finishing of cotton fabrics,wool fabrics, polyester fabrics, polyester-cotton blend fabric and silk fabrics. Evaluation of the safety of flame retardant additives has been put forward.
