Abstract: Nano-silver solution was prepared by maltose. The size and distribution of maltose nanoparticles were tested with HPPS and TEM. After cotton fabrics were finished with maltose nanoparticles, whiteness, antibacterial efficacy and washing durability of the fabrics were studied. The results showed the average size of maltose nanoparticles was about 20 nm, and the dispersibility and uniformity were nice. The antibacterial test indicated the treated cotton fabrics had good antibacterial effect, and the bacteria inhibitive rate exceeded 98% even after 50 washing cycles, which meant the washing durability was excellent.
