Abstract: A new modifier was synthesized using epoxy chloropropane and sericin protein, and then applied to the modification of cotton fabrics. FT-IR and SEM were used to characterize the modification effect, and the results showed that sericin protein had fixed on cotton fabrics. Reactive dyes were used to dye the modified cotton fabrics, and the dyeing behavior was studied. After pretreatment with sericin protein, K /S value of dyed fabric increased obviously; washing fastness and rubbing fastness improved;moisture absorption and liberation and levelness became better.
