This article summarized the research progress of wastewater treatment by electro-absorption technology with ACF. The basic principle of electro-absorption technology in the treatment of wastewater was introduced. The influence factors of ACF electro-absorption and regeneration efficiency were reviewed. It was pointed out that the further study should focus on the effect of the surface chemical properties of ACF on electro-absorption and regeneration process, as well as the methods of modifying ACF in the aim of enhancing the efficiency of electro-absorption.
