This paper was based on the work of sampling and monitoring wastewater from textile enterprises.The results showed that the concentration of AOX in the effluent was low, and wastewater from five of the seven selected enterprises could meet the requirement of national standard. The main reason why two else enterprises failed was the excessive use of chlorine decolorants. The AOX pollutant came from pesticide used in fiber plant process, dyes and auxiliaries used in dyeing and finishing process and chlorine decolorizing agent used in wastewater treatment. The optimal method to avoid AOX pollution was using dyes, additives and decolorants without halogen and seeking for substitutions.
