The effect of pretreatment on linen home textile fabric with the aid of alkaline for scouring, sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide for bleaching was discussed. The results showed that desizeing,whiteness, water absorbency and tensile strength could be improved by this process. Actual batch production practice also proved that the captioned process could maintain quite good quality of pure linen fabric. This open width continuous pretreatment processing for pure linen fabric could keep the production at higher productivity and stable quality level.
