Developing functional textiles is one of the important research directions in textile field in 21st century, and coating finish is an important method for the functional textiles. The method can not only improve its outward and feeling, but also change the function of fabric, such as water and oil repellent, flame retardant, antibacterial, radiation protection and anti-static. The coating production technology, coating agent, base clothes have been introducted and the development trend of coating fabric have been analyzed in this article.
