Abstract: Existing methods for weaving three-dimensional fabric are introduced, which serves as the basis for discussing the technique of weaving three-dimensional elastic fabric. Some samples were woven by using the discussed technique. The weaving trials show that it is viable to obtain good elastic properties of the woven fabric by increasing the number of spacer yarn, changing the structure and selecting proper fabric weave, and that the trials can be scaled up to industrial production by making certain improvement on process and equipment.
