Abstract: Raschel laces are highly appreciated by consumers for their delicate patterns, while the production features high productivity and high automation level. The article introduces some new concepts of lace production, such as the patterning system consisting of string bars, ground bars and jacquard bars, machine console with touch screen display, network data transmission and remote diagnosis. To maintain sustainable development, it is necessary for Chinese Raschel lace sector to make greater efforts to the research of production technique, developing new laces with ethnic distinction and improving quality and competitiveness of products.
